Small Space Summer living

We take our limited outdoor spaces and summer time in Chicago very seriously, here is some patio inspiration that can make a big impact

Standard lots in Chicago often offer up a back patio, a garage roof deck, and if you're lucky, maybe even an upper deck roof deck. Here are some of my backyard furniture picks for a cohesive look that works with limited sized spaces:

1) Back Patio:

2) Roofdeck:

Here is some roofdeck progress. I added the black palm pillows and will be planting evergreen arborvitaes with perennials in the Wal-Mart planters. The furniture is the Laurel collection from Restoration Hardware.

Last year we were busy moving in and didn't have much furniture. I'm looking forward to spending some time out here and can't wait to see it all come together!
